The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly had a brief but significant handing-over ceremony on the 8th October, 2025 at the Municipal Chief Executive’s office to mark the transition of leadership at the Municipal Coordinating Directorate. Mrs. Joyce Akosua Angmorteh, the outgoing Municipal Coordinating Director, officially handed over the reins of office to Mr. Shaiku Mumuni Damma, the incoming Municipal Coordinating Director.
In her remarks, Mrs. Angmorteh expressed gratitude to the Heads of Departments for their cooperation and support during her tenure. She urged them to extend the same commitment and teamwork to her successor to ensure the continued growth and development of the Municipality.
Mr. Damma, in his acceptance remarks, thanked the Assembly and pledged to build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor. He called for unity, dedication, and professionalism among staff to enhance the delivery of quality public service.
The brief ceremony symbolized a smooth transition and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to effective local governance and development.
