Distribution of Start Up Kits

As part of the efforts of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) and the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly to create employment and build capacity of Micro Small and Medium scale Enterprises (MSMEs) the Ahanta West Municipal Business Advisory Centre has distributed Two (2) Agro processing start up kits to Cassava and Oil Processing groups within the Municipality. The Agro processing start up kits were provided to build capacity of Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSME’s), improve production capacity, technology and innovation, provide skill for the youth and most importantly, create jobs and reduce unemployment in the Municipality.

The Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye (Hon.)payed a Two Day working visit to the Ahanta West Municipality

The Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso – Boakye (Hon.) payed a two day working visit to the Ahanta West Municipality, from the 2nd to 3rd  of June,2021.

The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah (Hon.) as well as the President’s representative of the Ahanta West Municipality, Henrietta Mary Eyison (Hon.), joined him as he visited some project sites.

He visited the new Amanful (Amanful Kuma) sea defense  wall being constructed by Mss MAWUMS and had an interaction with the Chiefs and elders of New Amanful at the Chiefs palace.

On the second day,he visited Dixcove where he interacted with the paramount Chiefs and Elders of both Upper and Lower Dixcove Traditional Areas. Obrempong Hima Dakyi XIVand Nana Akwesi Agymang IX, respectively.

The Ahanta West Municipal Health Directorate celebrate World No Tobacco Day

The Ahanta West Municipal Health Directorate joined the rest of the world to celebrate World No Tobacco Day on the 31st of May,2021. The day was observed at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.

Present at the function were the Municipal Chief Executive, Henrietta Mary Eyison (Hon.), Nana Kwesi Agyemang IX, paramount Chief of the Lower Dixcove Traditional Area, the Municipal Director of Health Services, Mr.Theophilus Ofori, leaders of both Christians and the Islamic faith as well as pupils and students from some selected first and second cycle schools.
