AHANTA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HELD IT’S THIRD ORDINARY MEETING

AHANTA WEST HELD THIRD ORDINARY MEETING.

The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held it’s Third Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Eight Assembly on Tuesday 16th November.2021 at the Assembly Hall. The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive. Hon. John Agyare had the opportunity to address the General Assembly. There were presentations,discussions and approval of the 2022 Annual Action Plan,Budget and Fee Fixing. Discussions on revenue improvement was also key on the Agenda.

MCE’S VISIT TO AHANTA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare, together with the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West Constituency and Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Lawyer Kojo Kum lead a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Ahantaland, Otumfuo Nana Baidoo Bonsoe XV and Omanhene Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX, Paramount Chief of Lower Dixcove on Tuesday 2nd November, 2021 and Obrempong Hima Dakyi XIV, Paramount Chief of Upper Dixcove on Friday, 5th November, 2021.

The delegation used the opportunity to thank the traditional leaders and their Elders for their support and also introduced the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive to them and implored them to assist with their wisdom and advice towards the development and growth of the Ahantaland.

The Traditional leaders assured the delegation, to support the MCE and the MP with advice and prayers toward their vision for growth of the Ahanta West Municipality.

Ahanta West Municipal Assembly observed World Environmental Health Day

Ghana joined the rest of the world to observe World ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DAY on the 26th September.2021 with the theme”Prioritizing Environmental Health for Healthier Communities in Global Recovery”. The Environmental Health Unit of the Municipal Assembly took active part in the observance of the day. The day was used to highlight the importance of Environmental Health Workforce world wide and for that matter Ghana. Radio discussions as well as clean up exercise was carried out to mark the day. This is to indicate that Environmental Health Officers practice what the preach.
