The selected Planning Committee Members for the 65th Independence Anniversary held it second meeting on Thursday 24th February,2022 at the Assembly hall. In attendance was the Chief Executive of Ahanta West, Hon John Agyare, Coordinating Director Mr. Daniel Kanyage, Personnel from Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Immigration service , Municipal Education Service,etc
On Thursday February 22nd ,2022 the Public Relations and Complaint Committee of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held its first meeting of the year 2022 at the Health Conference Room. In attendance were the Presiding Member, Hon. John Andrew Instiful, Representatives of the Information Service Department, Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice, National Commission on Civic Education and other Assembly members.
PGS Ghana ans it’s local partners donated 50 pieces of 2041bins to the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly. This was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility activities to support coastal communities to improve sanitation as part of their support towards the realization of on MDGs Goal on Sanitation and Water.

The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held it maiden committee meeting of the 65th Independence Day Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday,22 February,2022 at the Assembly Hall. In attendance was the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. John Agyare and the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Daniel Kanyage.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ahanta West Municipal Assembly Hon. John Agyare lead a team of members of the Ahanta Land in a Sod Cutting ceremony for the construction of Regional Hospital at Apemenyim. In attendance were Elders of the Ahanta Land, Municipal Director of Health and some workers of Amandi Constructions.
The Municipal Planning Committee Unit of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly met to discuss developmental projects for the Assembly.Attached were some pictures.
The Nana Hima Dekyi Hospital Open Day Event was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare. He was accompanied by the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Daniel Kanyage, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Ted Tettey, an Assistant Director, Joan Cosmos-Goncalves and a MIS Officer, Adu Kofi Evans.
The Open Day event was marked to climax the end of year programme of the hospital. It also touched on the 2021 Mid-year statistics of the hospital, hospital projects that required support and the Outdooring of the Hospital Advisory Committee and Client Service Executives.
There was also a short drama on the use of Enema among pregnant women and its negative effects it had on the pregnant mother and the unborn child.
Solidarity Message by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, the Doctors, all nurses and midwives and Stakeholders for their contribution towards the growth and development of the hospital. He urged them to continue with the hard work and intensify education on the use of enema among pregnant women.
He mentioned that the Assembly would continue to support the Hospital in its activities.
He wished all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2022.
END OF YEAR GENERAL MEETING OF THE AHANTA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY, 15TH DECEMBER, 2021 AT BUSUA ROYAL PALACE
As part of the event to mark the end of year general meeting of the Ahanta Traditional Council held on Wednesday, 15th December, 2021 at the Busua Royal Palace, some key Heads of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly attended the programme.
Notable among them were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Daniel Kanyage, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Ted Tettey, an Assistant Director, Joan Cosmos-Goncalves and MIS Officer, Adu Kofi Evans.
A welcome address was given by the Otumfuo, President of the Ahanta Traditional Council. He officially welcomed the Municipal Chief Executive and his entourage to the event.

In his address, the Municipal Chief Executive expressed his appreciation to Otumfuo Nana Baidoo Bonsoe XV, the Ahantahene, all chiefs present and all dignitaries. He indicated that the Hon. Member of Parliament could not make it because of parliamentary duties. Thus, expressed his apologies on behalf of the Hon. Member of Parliament.

Some recommendations were made to the Municipal Chief Executive and he assured all present that actions would be taken on the recommendations and challenges facing Ahantaland.
