A high-level Team from the United Nations Board of Auditors (UN BoA) visited the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly on Monday, 17th November 2025 as part of their performance audit of the UNCDF-funded “Boosting Green Employment and Enterprise Opportunities in Ghana (GrEEn)” Project, which was implemented in the Municipality.
The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly was selected as the only participating municipality to be audited, owing to its stellar performance in the Annual Performance Assessment (APA). This recognition positions the Assembly as a model among GrEEn Project districts.
Additional Development – Local ACE Migration
The Assembly has also been successfully migrated onto the LoCAL ACE Programme, which will attract additional funding for the construction of a gari processing facility at Apimanim to enhance local economic development and resilience.
The UN BoA’s engagement further strengthens the Assembly’s visibility and credibility in implementing climate-resilient and local economic empowerment interventions.
