The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held it staff durbar meeting on 4th September, 2024 at the Assembly Hall to officially introduce the newly posted Municipal Coordinating Director to all staff of the Assembly and also deliberate on issues concerning staff welfare and the way forward.
In attendance was grace with the presence of the following: the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon John Agyare, Municipal Coordinating Director Mrs Joyce Akosua Angmorteh, Mad, Judith Nana Ampomah, Human Resource Manager, Heads of the various Departments and all Staff.
The MCE, Hon. John Agyare welcomed all staff and commended them for their punctuality to the meeting. He said the meeting was organized to officially introduce the new Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Joyce Akosua Angmorteh to Staff. He indicated that, Madam Joyce Akosua Angmorteh would continue the good work started by Mr. Daniel Kanyage. He appealed to all Staff present to give their maximum support to Madam Joyce Angmorteh in order to make Ahanta West Municipal Assembly one of the best Municipalities in the Nation.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Joyce Akosua Angmorteh, in her speech welcomed all staff to the durbar. She touched on staff welfare as dear to her heart and urged Staff members to adopt team work as the major key to achieve collective success as far as the Municipal Assembly’s vision is concerned.
The MCD indicated that, operationalization of all six (6) Zonal councils would soon take off and some staff would be posted to work in the zonal councils. She said, one year rent advance would be paid for all staff who accept posting to the zonal councils.
She also, indicated her intention to put together a revenue mobilization taskforce with representatives from all departments. She also touched on Staff punctuality to work and encouraged all staff to be punctual at work. She stressed on the need to observe the protocols and channels of communication. She said staff should first communicate through their heads of departments to the Municipal Coordinating Director for the Municipal Coordinating Director to take the issues up to the Municipal Chief Executive where necessary.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Joyce Akosua Angmorteh finally admonished staff to exhibit professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with clients of the Assembly as well as community members.
