The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday 21st October, 2025 visited the site for the new Western Regional Hospital at Apemanim in the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly. He inspected the project which was abandoned in 2023. The project is a 250-bed, five floor structure that will among others have modern surgical, ICU, Blood bank, Laboratories and Pharmacy, Children, Maternity,Female and Male medical and surgical wards.
The program was graced by Nananom of Ahanta Traditional Council,the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, Hon.Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, (Minister for Health), Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, (Minister for Lands and Natural Resources), Hon. Joseph Nelson, (Western Regional Minister). Hon Mavis Kuukua Bissue, (Member of Parliament for Ahanta West), Hon. Ebenezer Aidoo, (Municipal Chief Executive), Mr. Shaiku Damma Mumuni, Municipal Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments and Units of the Assembly and Others. Below were pictures of the event:
