The Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held the inaugural meeting of its nineth Assembly on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly.
The meeting was to swear-in and formally inaugurate the Assembly, elect and swear-in a Presiding Member, formation of Committees and Sub-Committees of the Assembly and adopt languages to be used by the Assembly.
In attendance were the Western Region Minister, Hon. Kobby Otchere-Darko Mensah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Daniel Kanyage, Head of Departments of the Assembly and some members of staff of the Assembly.
In addition, some divisional Chiefs of the Ahanta, Lower and Upper Dixcove Traditional Councils, the Chairman of the Local Council of Churches, the Chief Imam, Constituency Executives and Parliamentary Candidates of NPP and NDC, and other Invited Guest were present.
