COMPOSITE BUDGET FOR AHANTA WEST FOR – 2024

On Wednesday 20th September 2023, the Municipal Assembly through the MCE distributed 800 bags of cement to all Assembly Members to support their Self initiated projects in their various electoral areas. The MCE thanked the Honorable members for their patience and asked them to make good use of the cements.

Hon. Eric Bordoh on behave of the Assembly Members thanked the MCE and the entire Assembly for their support towards the various electoral areas in the municipality and pleaded with  the Assembly to do more for the various communities in all sectors of development.

 In attendance were, Mr. Daniel Kanyage (Municipal Coordinating Director), Mr Eric Agbo ( Director of Administration), Assembly Members, Staff of the Assembly.

Some selected staffs of the Municipal Environmental and Sanitation Unit of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Management Information System Unit (MIS) had a ONE DAY in-service training on the implementation and execution of E-Tankas within the Municipality.

The training was held at the Municipal Assembly Hall  on Tuesday,19th September,2023. In attendance were the Head of Municipal Environmental  and Sanitation Unit Mr. Ted Tettey, Mr Christian E. Biney Municipal Head of Management Information System (MIS) and staffs from both units.

Issues discussed included:

•  Formation of E-Tankas Taskforcef
• Operations of E-Tankas tablets within some of the poor network zones in the municipality.
• The challenges involve in the operation of the E-Tankas App on the Tablet
• The Momo Pay automated  receipt after initiating a payment on the App.
• The issuance of abatment notice, etc

The Finance and Administration Sub – Committee of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held it meeting on 24^th August 2023 at the Municipal Assembly Hall at 1:30pm.

The following were issues discussed during the meeting

• Presentation / Discussion of 2023 Financial Performance
• Operationalisation of Revenue improvement Action Plan
• Presentation / Discussion of 2023 mid- year Budget Review

In attendance were the Chairman Hon. Eric Bordoh, Secretary Mr. Thomas Brobbey, Municipal Budget Officer Mr. Felix Mensah and some members of the committee. Below were pictures of the meeting:

On June 15th, 2023, a Team from the Presidency, led by Dr. Nisah Asare, paid a working visit to the Western Region to inspect ongoing projects under the AGENDA 111 initiative. The team’s visit brought them to Bokoro in the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly. Present to receive the team were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyare; the Director of Administration, Mr. Eric Agbo; the Municipal Head of Works, Mr. Frank Gyapong, and some staff of the Municipal Assembly.

After inspecting the site, Dr. Nsiah Asare commended the consultant ADK Consortium and the engineers for their excellent work on the project. He noted that among the ongoing agenda 111 projects in the country, the one in the Ahanta West Municipality had made significant progress and stands out for its fast completion rate.

Hon. John Agyare, the MCE, expressed gratitude to the team for their visit and assured them that he would personally oversee the site regularly to provide the necessary support and ensure the project’s speedy completion. He also mentioned that the people of Ahanta West are proud of the government for the various ongoing health service projects in the municipality, including Agenda 111, an accident center, and a regional hospital. On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly held the First Ordinary Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Eighth Assembly at the Municipal Assembly Hall, Agona Nkwanta. The meeting was primarily to discuss progress made so far for the year 2023.

In attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Agyarer, Presiding Member, Hon. Andrews Intsiful, Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Daniel Kanyage, District Manager for Electricity Company of Ghana,Mr. Noah Dake, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, some staff of the Assembly and the media.
