Ebenezer Aidoo, engaged key stakeholders including Market Executives, GPRTU, Pragya and Aboboya drivers, truck pushers, and city guards to discuss development issues affecting Agona Nkwanta and the Municipality.<\/p>\n<p> Key Discussions:<\/p>\n<p>Health &#038; Safety: Rising COVID-19 cases and cholera prevention. Stakeholders were urged to observe strict hygiene and safety protocols in their operations.<\/p>\n<p>Sanitation: Review of the recent clean-up exercise. The MCE was grateful for thier participation during the recent clean-up but noted that many gutters remain choked, He said this would affect sanitation in the market if not been dealt with.<\/p>\n<p>Illegal Structures: The MCE stated that, Buildings on waterways within the municipality will be demolished to prevent flooding and ensure public safety.<\/p>\n<p>Market Decongestion: Hon. Ebenezer Aidoo informed stakeholders about the need for the Assembly to decongest the Agona Market. He disclosed that Traders selling on pavements will be relocated. Again, Plans are in place to restructure and demarcate the market to improve order and safety.<\/p>\n<p>Pragya Drivers: The MCE also stated that,concerns over underage and reckless driving will be addressed in upcoming meetings with Pragya Drivers associations.<\/p>\n<p>24-Hour Economy Market: The Kokompe site will be redeveloped into a 24-hour market linked to Agona Market to boost economic activity.<\/p>\n<p>Enforcement: City guards will enforce \u2018No Parking\u2019 and \u2018No Stopping\u2019 regulations, with new signs installed soon.<\/p>\n<p>Community Watchdog System: Citizens encouraged to report sanitation offenders to help keep the Municipality clean.<\/p>\n<p>Support Requests: Stakeholders requested household toilets support, market sheds for fish sellers, and decongestion of the cargo station.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Activities:<\/p>\n<p>Clean-up exercise on Saturday, 12th July.<\/p>\n<p>Chieftaincy Forum on 26th July.<\/p>\n<p>Road construction from Agona Nkwanta to Dixcove to commence soon.<\/p>\n<p>Demolition of illegal roadside structures.<\/p>\n<p>Hon.
